[PR] More than forty cancer conquerors from Las Piñas, Parañaque, Muntinlupa, Cavite, and Laguna were recently treated to a whole day of pampering at the Asian Hospital and Medical Center. This free complimentary care activity entitled “Look Good, Feel Good”, was part of Project Pink Cancer Support Group’s Stage Zero Campaign, a movement that aims to strengthen the self-confidence and quality of life that is often compromised among those facing cancer.
In partnership with the Maquillage Professional (MP) School of Makeup Artistry, cancer conquerors were shown how they could continue to look good and feel good, especially with the use of makeup. All the participants and guest supporters were given a free makeover before the seminar was over, making each of them look more radiant.
Project Pink Cancer Support Group is headed by five cancer conquerors and a medical doctor, namely, Melissa De Leon Joseph, Angelita Laborte, Jocelyn Trinidad, Maria Victoria Arjona, Ramel Aguasin, and Dr. Rumalie Alaparaque-Corvera, M.D. They conduct seminars that educate both men and women about cancer and cultivate the spirit of support, courage, and community, especially among cancer patients and survivors living in the south of Manila, during first Wednesday and last Saturday of the month, 9:00–11:00 AM, at the Asian Hopsital and Medical Center.
