[PR] Happy at Work is a signature learning event produced every year by Salt and Light Ventures with the objective of helping both employees and employers build a healthy and happy workplace. It became a weekly column in Inquirer Libre entitled “Happy@Work”, with its first 12 published articles now compiled in the book Practical Wisdom to be Happy at Work.
Written by Boris Joaquin, who gives regular tips on how people in the workplace can find purpose and fulfillment in their jobs, Practical Wisdom to be Happy at Work confronts some of the daily issues and concerns employees in the workplace have. The topics range from how to overcome Monday blues, dealing with stress and restlessness at work, to finding joy at work.
Join in the official book launch of Practical Wisdom to be Happy at Work by Boris Joaquin on 17 September 2016, Saturday, from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM at the 37th Manila International Book Fair, Meeting Room 5, SMX Convention Center, Pasay City.
To reserve seats in this FREE event, you may text Angie at 09173114338 (limited slots available).
This is a must have 🙂 I think one of the most important factors of being happy at work is doing what you really love 🙂 This way, you won’t feel that you are doing your work just for the sake of money 🙂

This is an inspirational book for everyone but I think especially to parents who are working. As a working mom, I always as in always feel I’d like to quit working to have more time with my son. I guess I just need to enjoy my work and think that it’s the best decision I can do for our family.

There is a saying nga na if you love your work, you will never work for your entire life. So this book will be a great help especially to the people that are demotivated to go to work everyday.

This is a great booster especially for those who feel that they are doing something for the money and not for their passion. There’s been a lot of misunderstanding on work and all that lately.

The book sounds interesting. Being happy at work or with anything is a state of mind. It’s true that it’s hard to be ALWAYS happy at work since people do get burnt out specially if things get monotonous but one should also look for the silver lining — that at least you have a job 😀

This sounds like an awesome book! It is important, though, to be able to find happiness within us, no matter what job we’re doing. I find myself a lot less stressed while working when I begin my day with a devo and a decent workout!

It is important to find happiness in our work. We spend a lot of our time working. What a miserable life we would have if we do find happiness while doing it.

This is a must-read for all the working peeps who feel that they are just dragging themselves to work each day. We really need wisdom and understanding in order for us to appreciate where we are and what we have at the moment. – Arge

My bff and I are planning to go to MIBF tomorrow as I already have another errand on Saturday. Sayang! But this got me curious. Not that I am not happy (working-at-home) but because I love reading helpful tips and I know this will be a great help for me in some way. 🙂

This is for me! lol! But I’m a happy working in progress. lol. Before, I feel so miserable when it’s work time. Now, I start thinking of my job as God’s blessing and that I’m too blessed to be stressed. Little by little, I learn to be happy at work. 🙂

That’s great, Nilyn! Indeed, if we focus on our blessings, we’d soon realize that there’s really no need for us to feel stressed at all. God is in control. Nevertheless, I would love to see you there at the book launch. Kuya Boris Joaquin is a friend of mine, a fellow volunteer leader, and a former colleague at work, and I’ve known him to be a man of integrity. I’m sure you would also be blessed to meet him and read his work. See you!

This would definitely be a nice and informative read. Sometimes, we all know the secrets to being happy at work. We, however, choose to go to the other side and feel sorry for ourselves and situation. I hope many will consider joining this book launch and even support the author of the book by purchasing one.

That is so true! Most of the time, we need someone to point things out to us. I hope you can come to the launch, and check out all the other books at the 37th Manila International Book Fair (MIBF) too. Let’s support our fellow Filipino authors 🙂 God bless ü
