The Sunday Currently, Vol. 33

I can’t believe it’s been eight months since I last created a Sunday Currently post. As much as I had missed blogging, there was a time when I really decided to take a break from everything online as well as forced to take a break when my laptop’s charger needed replacement. And now, here I am, starting to get back to blogging again (for the nth time, it seems). Anyway, here it goes… reading several books everyday, which includes the Bible in chronological order, where I am now on the Book of Joshua. I have also started reading The Smartphone Photography Guide: Shoot, Edit, Experiment, Share by Peter Cope and Educating the WholeHearted Child by Clay Clarkson with Sally Clarkson aside from a few pages of Big ‘n Lil Sis’s books each day. Perhaps I should also pick up a fiction book just to balance things out. writing new posts and finishing blog posts that are still in the drafts folder listening to the sounds Lil Sis makes as she cleans up the mess she …

Start of the year realizations

The first month of 2016 is coming to a close and it feels like I have not done enough to reach some of my goals. Unfortunately, I still have a lot of backlog in writing, editing, and translation, not to mention, there are meetings that I still need to organize/attend. When we got back last January 1st from our …

Finding my way back

I miss blogging! I miss writing, even editing. But not when it means tight deadlines with tons of articles to write and edit. I think I’d take some rest now from the very same things that used to make me thrive. This time, I just want to write for my own pleasure, find my way back into enjoying it. After a few months of a sedentary lifestyle–definitely not by choice, I assure you–I long to relive the good old days when I could simply put my energy into every thing that I’d like to do or learn. Here are some of the things that I would like to be able to accomplish and enjoy very soon: Resume my adventure in discovering new recipes that will once again make my children look forward to every meal in the day; Relearn how to use an SLR camera and shoot beautiful pictures without the aid of a photo editing software (I don’t know how to use one, anyway). With my husband’s advance wedding anniversary gift, a Nikon D5100, …
